Title: 1.8T Agu - Coolant Leak (Housing)
Post by: Mr-B on 01 August 2014, 18:56
Problems after problems at the moment.

After going for a little test drive I noticed coolant leaking from the gearbox side of the engine. managed to trace the leak to where the temprature sensor fits into its housing.

Seems like the housing itself is cracked or has a leak somewhere,

Had had a good search for one online and can't seem to find the part.

Any point in the right direction would be great and a part number would be magic!

Many thanks!

It's either of these numbers, you'll have to confirm it with your chassis number if you want to PM it to me

got the part off its got numbers on it they are

06A 121133 J

Managed to get part from TPS through a mate with a garage,

I can't seem to see any crack in the housing at all thought i can see that the o-ring looks rather tatty. So just went for a replacement part.

I enquired about replacement hoses the come off this pipe at the bottom but he could not find the right one its very short and exits below the temp sensor its a very short pipe but i am unsure what the pipe is for.

Would the samco coolant kit for the mk4 golf come with these pipes?

Would really be looking to replace all the hoses for the cooling and new clips they are looking a bit past it now so any pointers to kits for this would be handy
