Title: Help with wipers coming on themselves!

Can anyone advise what might cause front wipers to occasionally come on by themselves?

Car is a Mk5 GT 2.0 FSI, and has the rain sensor front wipers, but its like they are being activated while the stalk is in the fully off position - and this has been happening recently in hot sunny weather!

Assuming some sort of control unit playing up, but any advice would be welcome.

Symptoms suggest some fault with the stalk or control module. Best option may be to get someone with VCDS to scan your ECU for fault codes.
