Title: Help! Revving issue
Post by: seanbmx on 27 July 2014, 20:05
Hi all

The problem I'm having is that whenever I change gear after about 1-2 seconds my car will rev itself up 10-20000 revs then settle back down, I'm thinking maybe it's a turbo fault but wouldn't know how to diagnose that. I'll try to get a video of it on my way home from work tomorrow.

My car is 1.8t agu mk4 any help would be greatly appreciated

Still having this problem, surly some one can shed some light on the situation???

I was thinking of getting a boost gauge, would this give any clue to weather the turbo is packing up?

Just a thought could it be my clutch slipping?

if the revs go up but the speedo doesn't then yes the clutch is slipping.
