evening peeps at the mo my car is completely standard seen a set of 40mm lowering springs will I need to make any changes to lower the car and would these go on standard shocks?
-
Save up and get coilovers. I ran 30mm springs for a while and didn't do any other mods but with coils it give you a better scale to go with whatever ride high you want.
The shocks will work but more than like be a different rate to the springs.

Yep agreed def save u for collies, any lower than 40mm will require anti roll bar adjustment
-
They will be ok but replace the shocks with new at the same time.

I got 40mm lowering springs on mine. The car holds really well but my god its hard as f**k
Every little hole and bump feels like a speed bump and say good bye to the undertray of your engine if you do hit a bump!
Saving for coil overs now!

so I don’t have to change anything what mm drop will be ok on my car my shocks ect are all standard
-
If using std shocks I would say no lower than 30mm (and even that will lower the life of the shockers quite a bit too), although I sell 4 shortened shocks and 4 lowering springs for £139 (40mm all round and should be fine with std anti roll bar)
I also advise to check the poundage of lowering springs or you can get super over stiff suspension (My kits are rated at 960kg front axle weight)
