Rear pads are running low, so for now might just replace them, but I would like to upgrade them with some larger ones.... Is there a way to put the old 288mm fronts on with modding for the handbrake? Or is this impossible?!!
Or are my only options the 256mm vrs, cupra ones? I don't want to use spacers (tt, r32 etc)
Oh and I have searched but not a lot comes up
Cheers

Anything can be done... its just if you have the time and money to do it really. but yes, 256mm are the only option i believe (that are bolt-on anyway)
-
256 from the anni or 180bhp model will go on without spacers.

Apart from the obvious disc size what are the other different parts required to upsize? Are the calipers the same, I'd say a larger carrier is needed but aren't they integral to the rear beam on mk4's? Which then leads me to think the calipers vary?
-
It's the carriers that are different. This is why people stay away from some of the TT ones and R32 due to the 4 wheel drive the carrier needs spacing to fit 2 wheel drive cars.
As Gm8 says the Anni or 180 model runs them in two wheel drive.
For the time and money you'd end up spending I'd hold out for ones from a 2 wheel drive car then bolt them straight on.

calipers are different. vented disc vs non vented so much more inbetween caliper. Splash guard different too so will need replaced (can be cut away tho)
