Title: autolock car doors when setting off
Post by: martinc1967 on 21 July 2014, 12:53
Hi Chaps, Can anyone remember how to get the gti to automatically lock the doors (when you go over about 13mph I think?) I did have this activated but for some reason it's stopped doing it?

Regards,

Mart

Settings - Convenience - Central Locking - Automatic, then make sure that both Lock and Unlock boxes are ticked.

You mentioned that it was working but now it's not?

Have you changed anything on the car recently? Seems odd that it did work but now it doesn't?

Oddly when I alter something with VCDS, my one press opens all doors needs to be reset in the DIS. Only in the Golf tho', my Passat doesn't do it.

I activated the anti-hijack locks in my in laws Octavia using VCDS the other day. Perhaps yours has forgotten that it should be doing it and needs re-coding.

Using the spare key?? Some of the vehicle settings are stored on the ignition key, door locks being one of them.

I did have a couple of tweaks done via VCDS not long ago. Maybe something happened then. I'll get it checked.
