Title: poor mpg

Have replaced injectors,egr valve,fuel filter and glow plugs still have irregular tickover and poor mpg my mpg reading on dash permanently reads 62.1 to 62.4 (2001 tdi 90bhp 170k) any advice   thanks

Cams. 

Check them to see if they are worn at all. Irregular ticker over and knocking can be a a sign of worn cams.
