as its an a4 the engine will be longditudinal, which means you will need to get (mechsnically wise)
sump, inlet and exhaust manifolds from a transverse engine as a start. then youll want:
g60 engine mounts, mk3 diesel gearbox and shifter (this box will line up with your existing driveshafts) and some bigger stoppers, g60 280mm discs and callipers will do well if you want to keep it 4 stud. youll also want a corrado or passat hydraulic pedal box or a seat clutch actuator. then its a case of plumbing in your intercooler pipework.  i think thats it mechanically
then youll need the electrics side of things. youll need to get the immobiliser prorammed out of the ecu if you want to use your original clocks. then have a little read of this to find out what to cut and join to what http://www.clubgti.com/showthread.php?205887-OEM-management-wiring-1-8T-gt-Mk2-harness-install-FAQ
hope that helps!
