Hi all me again. I've decided I'm going to keep my dub so I'm going to be doing some work to it. First of all my cat really rattles so I need to change this seeing as money's a bit tight right now I was wondering where the best place to get one from and what other things will I need like gaskets and clamps? Also I want to try and restore some power to the vehicle. Can you fit new injectors yourself? Where should I get them from and what would I be looking to pay? Sorry to be a pain with all the questions again but every time it try to purchase things from the net I get ripped off. cheers for all help

you can get cats on ebay or scrapy yards or other internet sites etc have a google
you can fit injectors yourself, its not too horrendous, if your pretty good with doing stuff yourself then youll be ok just take your time
heres a pretty good guide http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?3386087-DIY-Fuel-Injector-Replacement-(-replace-fuel-injectors-)-MKIV-1-8t-VR6
failing that get a haynes manual

:smiley:thanks for replies is there a specific part number for the cat and injectors that you know of?
-
I don't know either part number unfortunately
You won't have any trouble finding a cat by just searching for your car
I'm sure someone else will let you know the number for the injectors, if they don't, pop into a vw dealership and ask them for the number. Then you can search online for the cheapest place to order them, also ask for a price if your in vw, they are sometimes the cheapest

I phoned my local VW dealer for a price on a new diverter valve and on asking for the part number was told 'It's company policy not to give out part numbers'.
I had to tell her the part number and ask if she would confirm they were the same!
Hopefully It's just that one dealer being a dick but thought it was worth mentioning. :)

Thanks for the replies. I'll give my local dealer a buzz later.
