I have a 2nd hand r32 style turboback system to fit but unsure whether to do it myself or let a garage do it (one which knows what they are doing with exhausts etc)
Just a little hesitant to how easy the bolts will come off the downpipe/turbo if they are stiff etc and how accessible they are?
Also need to grind off the rear towing eye to make room for the offside exhaust tailpipe

You've got to grind the tow eye off completely?!
I got bitten with my exhaust studs, snapped 2 of them which meant I had to take my turbo out to sort it

Looks like I have to yeah, it pretty much gets in the way with the r32 bumper on the back and the exhaust tip looks slightly bigger than normal
Deffo don't want to get stung with turbo studs... although will make a good excuse to throw a hybrid on while im there

Use alot of wd40 on the turbo bolts to stop them sheering and if there still very tight then do them 2 steps forward and 1 step back. This works every time with stiff bolts

F*CK wd40 its balls. What you sir need is PLUS GAS!! I used it on my joms adjusters that i put on 5 years ago and didnt use copper grease so they must have been seized. Left it to soak for a few days and kept applying it. I used it on my fuel filter casing which NEVER been changed. I sprayed it a few times over a week and the nut came off with EASE!!! Before that same nut was just turning with the thread. So my advise is use plus gas.

Agreed, Plusgas is pretty damn useful stuff.

Got it booked in the morning at a place that did my last exhaust.
They know what they are doing more than me and will likely weld it all properly rather than clamping.
Cant wait to hear it and see it :laugh:

You don't really want this because if anything needs taking off its not a job you can do at home...
