Driving aggressively the other day I had the seatbelt pre-tensioners fire.
I was turning right into a smaller road on a bumpy section of road, traction control off, sport mode on. Floored it in 2nd (I think) to pull me round and wake the diff up and I think as the wheels slightly skipped over a crest (which I had plenty of room for) the seatbelt grabbed me back in my seat!
No audible stuff or the red flashing dash warning (which I've had a few times when cars turn off in front of you)
Anyone 'managed' the same? Its damned uncomfortable!

hehe sounds like fun
I've had the GTD dab the brakes on me, no actual need. A car was turning off on a 50, loads of room and time but the car thought different. Be switching that off I think!

I wouldn't be switching that off if I were you. You could invalidate the insurance if they found out

If it were a problem to have it switchable the insurance companies wouldn't price the car they way they have and/or VW wouldn't have made it an option.
That said, need to have a look to see if it can be made to be more errm relaxed.

I have the seat belt tension kick in a lot! I have a lot of big roundabouts near me and I like to see how quick I can go around them.....The diff and the seat belts have fun!
