Hi all,
the warranty runs out around September and was thinking if I should look into anything to try get anything replaced under warranty if it was "going" or "on it way"....
I had full lock on the other week and I heard a creaking noise. (haven't heard it since) hoping it was a one off but anyone had this trouble before?
Another area was the white worm, There is some slight area on the middle caps, potential there??
When I purchased the car the timing chain issue was what I was most scared about. Obviously I carnt walk in and say change that. The car is a 2011 with 25k. I read that it should have had the newer updated tensioner but there is since a newer one from cars December 2011 onwards.
anyone see any other areas of the car which I could look into for potential "floors".
Thanks!

You could always extend your warranty for another 12 months.I recently did this £326 with VW.

As above, I would extend the warranty for peace of mind.
Worth pursuing the white worm if you can, this is a common problem and people have had it sorted under warranty, it usually starts around the centre caps. They won't be interested in preventative timing chain replacement. Seems you've got to wait for disaster to strike to get them to take notice and even then they plead ignorance.

^+1. It won't do any harm to try; nothing ventured, nothing gained.
If it's your centre caps rather than the wheels themselves that are suffering from whiteworm, these are relatively inexpensive to replace if you end up having to buy them yourself. Beware of some of the cheap imitations on eBay though, as the quality isn't that great. Genuine ones from the dealer are about £8 each I think.
I had a couple of the centre caps replaced under warranty when my car was 2 years old. I also had 2 wheels replaced under warranty in the last 3 months when it was almost 3 years old. My wheels started corroding around the centre caps. Mind you, it took 7 wheels to find 2 'perfect' ones! The other 5 were either delivered to the dealer in a less than perfect condition, or they were damaged during fitting. So, for anyone getting wheels replaced under warranty, check the replacements carefully; don't assume they'll be perfect, as they might not be!

yerh the warranty runs for another 6 or so month after the manufacturers runs out. the VW dealer stated they just carry it on. with any used they give you 12 month but with mine still having warranty on they just topped it up to 12 month. My point was I wonder what there "topped" up warranty really includes. where as normally the manufactures warranty covers the most..
thanks for the comments though, will right up a list of things and take it down to garage sometime and will defiantly bring up the whiteworm, seems the tensioner I am just going to have to wait
