Well, that's it, I'm ready for GTI International next weekend, She is clean and tucked away in the garage until Saturday, thank goodness for a company car!!

The bonnet bra will be on for the journey there and back but I'm not overly keen on them, maybe just use it when on long runs for protection.

Opinions guys & girls.

Who else is heading down to the show as well?

Looks really great and I do like the yellow fogs

Very relieved to hear the bonnet bra isn't a permanent fixture, not a fan of them at any time   Aren't you concerned that it might cause damage to the paintwork.  A protective film might be a better option.  Someone on here fitted a 3M one and it was barely noticeable in the pics.

Yea that was the first mod I made, such a simple thing that most people notice.

the joys of having a mate who is a sign writer to fit the wrap for me.

So I will be calling in the favor again once I get a price off him and get the minor paint defect sorted, then the bra will be gone!

Your shadow sneaked into the photo when you weren't looking.

Are you showing and shining? I've all I have to do is wash, wax and trim dress the Mk2, so I'll get that done on Saturday. I'm also taking the Passat as a kids, kit and chair lugger and will have that on the TDI Sport stand. I don't think I'll have time to clean that properly, so it will have to go as it is.

I know can't believe it manages to sneak in!

I'm not. Never thought about to be honest just can't go with a dirty car in my opinion. Ha.

I'm pretty sure that you can enter the SNS on the day. It doesn't matter if you aren't in with a chance of a prize (I'm certainly not) but you'll get a great parking spot and get to feel part of the show. Much better that having your shiny car parked in a field where no one will give it a second look.

A beautiful car but you've got too loose that bonnet bra. They ruin any car for me.

You have a very good point, got to have it somewhere where it can be seen.

The bra will be coming off and I think I will get the front clear wrapped, can't stand stone chips!

If you put a couple of air scoops on your bonnet like an impreza with a bonnet bra it turns in to a wonder bra!

You are from the West Midlands and Inters is just the other side of Stratford. At a guess, it's a 40 miles journey. Early in the morning, how many stone chips do you think you are going to get?

Not many, but they have been doing that stupid gravel resurfacing around by me and its painful to hear them flying up, I had had the car a day and got a stone chip on the windscreen from one of them, was not a happy bunny!

Yupp nothing like chip and spray to ruin your car.

I've got a couple recently, its usually from a car the other side going to fast, horrible gouge on my bonnet. Needed touching up anyway but still a pain, not to mention the horendous pitting on the windscreen!

When I had my cw gti it wasn't the bonnet that suffered from stone chips it was more the front bumper.

I agree with ^ comment about bra, not a good look, (sorry)   least I am honest,  love the yellow fogs, tried them on mine but didn't go that well with the black paintwork so pulled them off.

Haha, the more I look the more I dislike the bra, one for the garage I think.

Cheers about the fogs, first mod I made thanks to a mate in the trade
