evening all can I buy larger discs for my car ? I have standard pads and calipers ( 2.0 golf )

Hi ya, I think you'd need to change the whole hub to fit 288mm or 312mm disks.

Which would be a lot of wucking fork. :)

baka is correct, you need to swap the hubs over if upgrading from 280mm:
