Matt grey paint - apparently not a wrap either:

Anyone tried to order a mk7 in a custom colour? I know there are a load more colour options in Germany, wondered if they do the same 'anything you want' that Audi do?

They probably forgot to lacquer it!
As they're site sponsors I'm sure they could answer the question - they got hold of that one so getting another colour should be doable as long as you're not expecting a 12% discount too!!!

Good afternoon,
Thank you for your recent enquiry. I am delighted to learn of your continued interest in Volkswagen, in order to request a non standard colour on the order; the retailer will need to request a special build from the factory. If your retailer calls or emails our sales team then they can request this build from the factory.Regards[/i]

You could special order the other colours that were available in germany in the uk on the mk5 and mk6 just no one actually knew about it. Including any dealer staff!
Mk5 and mk6 dealer staff always said no but they dont know about that they can! Dont ask the dealer staff, ask the people who are incharge of dealer support at vwuk(not the customer service numptys) and with the mk5 and mk6 you got the above suprise reply that no one know about..
I expect the mk7 will be the same. Just no one asks the correct people.
With the 5 or 6 you just had to get the dealer to ask just they canmot be bothered or know how or who to ask and it cost the same option cost as it did on the German configurator.

You can’t order particular colours for the MK7 so we had the matt carbon grey GTI custom sprayed – we’ve got a brilliant body shop onsite who can custom spray vehicles in any colour or finish we want! If you’ve got something in mind, just give us a call on 01978 340600

Next video you do, don't tick the option to allow YouTube to do image stabilisation. It's like your car has been taken over by the marshmallow man...
