I just wanted to share what my reg late is! The last 3 letters are DUB ... I only bought the car a few months ago and found this very cool! Its all standard not been modified do you think this is a coincidence or personalised by someone else?

Do you not have any history with the car to see if the reg is original?
-
Alot of people ask if my Reg is private i don't know why though??

My reg is Simelar. 1 letter. 2 numbers. 3 letters.
Cause the numbers start at 1 and go upwards there's obviously less registrations that are 1 or two numbers. So a lot of people think there private plates.
I often get asked if mine is private. I actually had to get the history of my car and prove that it's not private to my mate.
Only ever seen 1 standard reg that's 1 number.

Being a 6 didgit its worth something anyway regardless if it's original or private, even more so with DUB in it. I have G60TST on my corrado and its worth about 500 odd quid. Original plate on my mk2 F31HTM about 150.

I suspect it has had a plate change or was a demo car some time in its life.

just out of interest, if i have the plate that was assigned by the dvla, can i sell that? and would i need to get another plate off the dvla what would that cost?

Your best giving the dvla a call on that as there a many different circumstances that will dictate wether or not that's possible on your car.

hmm might do, actually got asked around a year ago how much id sell my private plate for by someone at a car show cause it was said guys initals or something, but I just told him its not private so cant be sold. wish I knew this now, could've possibly made a few hundred quid
