I am jacking car and maxing jack out and it barely lets the lowest settings on axle stands go under.
How do I overcome this by using same jack?
To get to the next pin on stands?
-
Put some wood on the jack first.
Get some small ramps/pieces of wood for your car to drive onto first.
Get a better jack or find a second.
-
Put wood under jack?
One piece or one each end of jack?
-
What sort of jack do you heave? By the sounds of it you need to get a better one.
When you say each end what do you mean? He said on the jack mate not under it, what he is getting at is to put a bit of wood on part you would normally put against the car giving the more height. Sort of like a spacer.

Put wood under jack?
Is this guy still alive

get a better jack. mine can raise the car to heights where i wouldnt even want to get under it because the angle of the car looks so unsafe to be supported by a jack and looks like its going to slide out.
-
trolley jack will get a car fairly damn high.
-
I have a trolley jack but it only raises it 33cm
-
One of those red ones
-
Blocks of wood or a bigger trolley jack. I have one that raises a car 4ft.
-
A Halfords jobbie is the smaller trolley jack, the large trolley jacks for trucks and things can raise the car about 4-5ft off the ground
-
Get a fork lift lol bigger jack or blocks of wood under the one you got
-
I honestly cant think of any work you can do which you would need anything more than a small trolley jack to do
