A bit of a rant but
18th of march I booked my Golf GTD in for its second service. When I arrived to collect it from the dealership I waited for a long time and they are very shifty - even though they have told me on the phone it is ready. So when they drove it round, I checked it over carefully and there was a scratch - the buggers. The service manager said he'll fix it and said someone will ring me to book it in. He does not seem surprised.
I can't get it booked in with the repair man so after two months of trying I contacted VW customer service. Scott from customer services called the dealers twice a week and me also - another month and a half goes by - no luck. So I get a quote from a local garage and the dealers say they can't authorise it. However, the finally book me in for today. They don't turn up!!!!!!!.
I love the car but the Bromley Beadles VW dealership are rubbish.

Tell them unless it's fixed within 7 days you're seeking the above of a solicitor. I would also tweet VW customer services as they hate anything going public.

Agreed Cliff......................VW dealers are rubbish for repairs.
I have many examples but won't bore you all with them.
But, after the training they receive etc.................why are they so poor (all over the country)...........?

I would also like to add it's not just VW dealers which are rubbish! I've posted on this subject before. I once bought one of those Fiesta Zetec s thingys had it a month went in for an after 1000 miles to check if eveything was ok. This came out with the driver side back quarter panel caved in. I was standing there gobsmacked  they said it came in like that! I cant remember the Ford dealers name but i live near Berwick upon Tweed.

Manage to get a cheque out of them as they have taken so long. Got it booked in with a local repair shop who I know will do a decent job.

That's good news, always good to take your car to someone you trust
