Title: Remote central locking-drivers door sometimes not unlocking
Post by: Therusterman on 19 June 2014, 13:52
As the title says, anyone have any pointers? At the moment I can usually unlock the door using the key fob and if this doesn't work use the key-but this sometimes takes a few cycles of locking and unlocking.

At the moment its an intermittent problem and doesn't appear to be affecting any of the other doors or the boot.

oem central locking or retrofit?
oem remote fob or retrofit?

first guess would be vacuum leak in door frame bulk head.

As far as I know its OEM central locking, has a Toad after market full closure alarm fitted.

When you say door frame bulkhead, do you mean where the rubber boot runs between the door frame and door?

I have this very same problem. I was told it could be because of having a weak battery? Does that sound like something that might be causing it?
