Title: Can I make this fit !?
Post by: sammyboy92 on 17 June 2014, 10:22
My mk3 has the 5x100 pcd set up and I've seen some 16"Alfa teledial wheels id like to swap my 17's for but their 5x98 pcd, can you get adapters to make such slight alterations orr would their be any way of making them fit with a bit of wiggling and fiddling without adapters , and if anyone has any pictures of these wheels on a mk3 to give me an idea of what they would look like , any help would be great .

Yeah they will fit but whats the centre bore? You'll need to drill them bigger or get spigot rings.

Bolts you will need are could wobbly bolts

Couple of options

Take the alloys to a fabricator and get them drilled so they are 5x100,  that way they will be look like most multi fit wheels

Second option, wobble bolts,  those pcds are close enough for wobble bolts to work. However personally k wouldn't trust them, they have very mixed reviews online.  I would advise doing some reading up on them

Thanks ! Tbh I thought I was gonna get a stream of piss taking for asking if you can bodge wheels on ! But I like the sound of those wobbly bolts il have to look into them - better that having to drill the wheels or get adapters. Has anyone seen a mk3 with these wheels on Because I know their a bit of a marmite style !?
