Title: RNS510 straight fit in to a 08 gti?

Hi guys away to buy 1 with an antenna etc are these a straight fit for a golf mk5 GTI 08? or do they need coding?

It's a straight swap as you should already have a compatible canbus gateway installed in that 2008 model.
It does need a coding tweak in the installation list so the system knows you have a nav unit but the unit should work without issue in spite of not doing this.

Cool and te other option is I use my pioneer double din what fitting kit do people recommend to use?

It's all very nice having an OEM radio, but if you want Bluetooth, ipod, usb connections as well, they are all add ons that you'll need to buy. Most aftermarket units have these as standard.

Most likely a wiring adaptor and a facia mount to fill the gaps around the edges of the unit.
