19's look so nice, but too harsh for me (with uprated roll bars)

Harsh? Ride wise? I've given up tryin to make it comfortable the roads in this country are awful anyway

I know what you mean. I should have put "i dont want to make mine any harsher." At the moment with the rear ARB set to stiff, If I was to go to 19's my back would be in snap city in less than a month

They look great from the side, but a bit too much poke for my liking. The car will get filthy in seconds on wet roads and splattered in tar on dry ones.

What are you doing with your Vancouvers?

Really like them matty, great combo with the body colour   as for the harsh ride, agree roads are awful anyway so might as well have 19's if you like the look.

Don't really know what else to go for :/ quite picky with wheels. Wanted a set of OZ ultraleggera but those are so expensive. Either that or Mk7 GTI wheels. Couple of people have done that and it looks pretty nice

I didn't say I didn't like them...I merely stated the irony of your sarcastic dig at JayGTD when you've followed the herd with your choices
As it happens, I think your wheels look good

Haa, s'alright haha. Cheers Ess but I'm a difficult man to offend ;P I was a bit iffy about the 3SDM's though. I talked to the guy at the wheel shop and he was like every Tom Dick and Harry gets 3SDM's for VW's. What do you guys feel about these?

Yeah going fine! Wanted winter tyres as when we had the snow and and ice the f1s just was not up for it, so I just wanted a cheap enough set with winter tyres just too swap round, plus wanted to get the monzas refurbed! If I was to replace the monzas permantly I would spend a little more probably for a better quality alloy, but for me I like the way they look and I wouldn't be that upset if I was to damage them sliding about in the snow as I would with the monzas!

Makes sense! 18x8.5 ET45? Too bad they don't make VMR's anymore so the prices have sky rocketed! I love a nice set of VMR's on a white BMW E82 or E92
