I been getting creaking from the rear for example reversing into a ascending slope as the angle changes is when i get the creaking, im wondering if the spring bushes would cause that as its the only thing i didnt change when fitting the new sus?
Also my rear axle bushes were torqued up in the air would this cause creaking ?

anyone got a hunch? just undone axle bushes and shock bolts and torqued up under tension and still getting the creak
maybe even the top mounts even though they are new ?

I am showing my age here, but the Mk4 Cortina (and Mk3 IIRC) had a similar void bush arrangement, but on the rear axle.
That was a crap job to do too.
Anyway, I learned the hard way to torque them up with the axle loaded. The first set I did were torqued up in the air. That applied sufficient twist to the rubber that they were destroyed in 3 months.
So don't assume your rear beam bushes survived.
If you need to re-do them, consider polybushes. They will self align in this scenario.

Yeah i will definitely use poly next time and it was a complete twit of a job especially when i didnt use a press, good old fasion wood block and lump hammer  but I dont get any knock or bangs over bumps, only when the chassis is twisting coming on and off even surfaces at an angle strange one to explain
