Title: Has anyone actually carried out a coolant drain and flush?

I was given the vw workshop manual page on how to do it the bit i am having trouble with is the "simply" remove quick release connectorthis nothing quick about it and no access any ideas?

Id love to do this, the gtd takes miles to get up to temp whereas my old tdi takes 2 miles after a coolant flush!
