Title: Door Card Vibration
Post by: Aidey on 13 June 2014, 09:54
Noticed this week my driver side door card seems to vibrate/rattle, if I'm driving on a rough road its much worse, also when closing the door you can hear the vibrating noise..anyone else getting this any advice, think something might be loose behind the card..

Possibly something behind, but before you go taking things apart have you tried just pushing the panels in a bit, see if anything clicks and fixes it, also your doors are empty right?

All cars rattle mate, either buy a sub, go mad with a load of sticky tape or get a large bore downpipe

I have this is the passenger door - it's driving me nuts. Also in the sunglasses holder overhead and the nsr door.

Why do my cars always rattle ?

I have the passenger door and sunglasses holder too. Has only really started after 1000 miles.

My MK5 used to rattle from everywhere but I had hoped the MK7 would be much improved. Incredibly frustrating. Wonder if Audi's do this too?

If it's any consolation, Audis are quiet for a while but they do start rattling from everywhere as the miles go on and it seems door card rattles are common, a clip has broken on my passenger (I think) door so it makes quite a bit of noise, just need to find time to replace.
