Title: Put my jack through my floor!!

Yes, i know im a dopey bast**d!

I put my jack through the floor, ill be getting it welded but is there anything i should know like?

The actual underneath it really rusted,

Anyone done the same??? and what did you do

Nope never did =) Why did you jack it up in the floor btw?

My first mk3 a welded new sills and rear footwear in it. Not because I put the jack through it though haha

If your welding, may as well strip the car down a bit and get everything done in one hit

I found that there are loads of rust bits by the rubber things? i presume that its normal what are tehy for?

Collect moisture and dust so the car rust :D If you have rust there, patch it over and forget about the rubber bung. I think its used for transportation during assembly  :)

EVERY Mk3 rust there (soon or alter) its so common it should be written in the sales brochure.

Yeah theyre all pretty rusted i, had a play before with a few of them and they just fell out! haha,

Fingers crossed the lads in work can source me some steel plates to just put over every hole.

Cant be doing with rust,

I took my arches apart the other day.... well you guessed it.. RUST!

I have just fibreglassed over it for now, obviosly sanded the rust away with a drill and rust wheel but it just disheartens me!
