Hi guys you lot have been extremely helpful with your experience and knowledge in the Dub world.. I'm looking at purchasing a w-reg BORA 2.3 V5... Firstly are they any good and secondly how quick are they?..if your advise guides me towards the bora great!!.. If not I'm looking at putting a seat Leon AMK Ko4 lump from a cupra r.. I'm hearing 210 bhp from that turbo lump..into my solid original pait rust free vw golf mk4..heeelllppp,,,

Avoid the V5, either a V6 or 1.8T is a much better engine choice.

Yep and just as thirsty as something better.
I had a V5 golf as a company hack years back, like barge round corners and not that quick.
Good on motorways but that gets boring real quick, can only imagine the bora is worse.
One mans meat is another's poison,  you might like it

Avoid the V5 plus little point in converting your Golf to a 1.8t lump

Thanks guys but confused about little point in converting the golf into a 1.8t wit a seat Leon Cupra ko4 lump..friend in Londonderry fines this on his mk4 and it goes like a rocket..

mine has the k04 an goes ok so that would prob be your best bet  :smiley:

Is your mk4 a 1.8t already if so yes it is worth it, if it is not a 1.8t it makes little sense to convert with mk4 values being low.
