hi sume times the car just seems to get rough when driving when you put your foot down it bogs and judders some times it feels like the engine stops when you put your foot down and when you lift your foot off it gose again
I cleand the tb and air temp sensor and maf the air temp sencor was black
I used electric contact cleaner on them but made no improvement
scaned it and no codes
I was told by a macanic that it might be the coils on its way out but the car starts first time with no foot on the peddel
sorry not good at explaning things
-
have you checked for fault codes? because when i cleaned my tb nothing happened until i searched it for faults, then cleared them off.
Also i would check for some vacuum leaks before you get new coils (ive heard that the coils are expensive too)
-
the coil packs on the agu never usually fail its normally the ignition amp that fails making them run on 3 cylinders  so dont let the mechanic that said coil packs near it
-
there is no codes and I cant hear any air leeks I can get some coils for around £20 plus I cant see any righting on the coils as the words have worn off

as said the agu coils are not known to fail so i would be looking elsewhere
-
I did the maf test it is not that could the lambada do that to the engine

Rediculous statement. It sounds like coil symptoms and if it were a later 1.8T nobody would rule them out. Once said mechanic had run proper checks on the coils he could have concluded it wasn't them.
Seems a reasonable place to start to me if I didn't know specific engine codes don't normally blow coils.
-
Best bet is to find someone with an AGU and swap the ignition amp over to test
-
My money would also be on ignition amp.

i had this code ages ago, mines was a leak at the air inlet manifold where it meets the block.
you could have a boost/vacuum leak somewhere.
Get a smoke test done.
-
dont think jersey has a one
-
when I replaced the maf I seem to be boosting a bit more it has gone up from 0.4to 0,6 bar
-
think I have found the vac leak I did not tighten some clamps on the oil catch can where the t peace is
