Hi.
I fitted a new Recirculating Valve to my 1.8T AUM today. All went well and was driving fine for about 15mins. Then all of a sudden from pulling off the turbo was making sort of a squealing noise whenever it went about 2500rpm. So I got home and put my OEM RV back on and the squealing still remains. Does anyone have any idea what it could be? It's been working fine up until then. Surely it wouldn't have anything to do with the RV would it as it was only a couple of pipes and some jubilee clips. Any help would be really really great. Thanks.
Here is a video of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QcxGz2Zz5Oo&feature=youtu.be

Sounds like turbo deals are gone. Are u using any oil.

That sounds more like an air leak than a ruined turbo. I really cant see why all of a sudden the oil seals on the turbo would blow after you changed a DV that was nowhere near the turbo. You should check for boost leaks, hoses, clamps, tears in pipes, intercooler pipes. The whole boost system, probably easiest to get a garage to do a smoke test.
How does it feel to drive? still getting the kick up the arse at 2500rpm?

Yeah turbo still kicks in great. Just makes that noise. Might put it up on some ramps tomorrow take the undertray off and check the hoses near the turbo and intercooler.

Do it , and its probably worth getting it scanned as well just to be sure. Got a scanner?

Yeah I had 17705 that's why I replaced the DV. After it made that noise it came back. I had the Fuel Trim one as well.

17705 and 17545 by any chance?
