They look good

Lovely. Give it elegance

Beautiful

Nice. I'm considering getting some new wheels too, as I don't like diamond cut alloys - I've had one replaced under warranty due to whiteworm corrosion, and my dealer has a second on order to replace under warranty for the same reason.
I'll probably store my Charlestons and put them back on when I eventually sell my car. Getting new wheels also gives me a reason to get some new tyres, and they won't be Bridgestones like I currently have!
-
Wasn't a fan of the Shadows when I got my car. I must admit they have grown on me and I love them now. VWR's are nice. But the shadows suit the car better IMO.
-
loved those wheels especially when i ran them on the rocco, love the fact that the VWR ones don't need spigots and top notch quality

Wow! That looks fantastic.

Look great on the rocco
-
just great wheels and so light for the wedge
Wow! That looks fantastic.
this look was wasted on rocco owners
Look great on the rocco
you needed coillovers to pull the look off
-
Looking good siburt
-
Sorry guys got to give my opinion not nice at all standards look better look like cheap aftermarket multi spokes aslong as you like them tho

Really! obviously no taste, their loss! The drop is perfect.
Makes me think the R will be epic when you've made it yours
Wigit, do you prefer this blue or the lapis?

I had some on my first mk6 (set no.7) fitted not long before it went in p/x (http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g26/Andy_vRS/HighResImage.jpg)
And there it was just after it was p/x'ed!
-
I'm not normally a fan of after market but I do like them

Ahh, was that your goodbye pic. Very nice
I love the colour of these wheels and reckon they'd look good against most car colours, except maybe black. Like to see how they look with tornado red and midnight blue.
-
I think the only problem with the TD 1.2 / VWR wheels, they really highlight how small the brakes are, especially the rear.....where is it?
Shadows do a great job oh hiding the size.

Well I'd like to pretend at this point that I'm a sentimental old romantic and couldn't resist a pic of the old girl before I drove off with a freshly violated Debit Card in my pocket and a shiny new steed enveloping me - but unfortunately I was a bit seduced by the grey goddess (mk6 no.2) and buggered off with hardly a backwards glance so had to lift a couple of pics off the dealers website 'for sale' section a few weeks later!!! D'oh!

Thanks for your comments guys!
The Shadows are going for a well earned refurb and I didn't want to fit my winters, so I bought the VWR's which are only 9KG each and do make a positive difference to the feel of the car.
The only trouble is that I'm now sorely tempted by a BBK!!
-
Looks great!
I have a set of 1.2s albeit in non VWR poverty spec that I had as track wheels on the ed30, tempted to try them on the mk6 now!
Out of interest what suspension you running, sits nice
-
Thanks Beddie, it's on VWR springs - as you can see, the car looks more purposeful and the ride has not been compromised whatsoever!
-
Not a fan TBH, prefer the look on the second pic with the shadows. But long as you like them thats all that matters

Yeah shadows are hard to beat on the MK6 platform. If they hadnt been standard on MK5 & MK6 I bet they would have sold a bucket load. People just want to change from OEM.

couldn't agree more there. shadows work wonders with hiding the rear calibers and look amazing IMO. But also wouldn't discount how good the VWRs look too. Much look a charm in combo with tornado red
