hi all, excuse the poor quality pics (iphone) and its been raining all day..
Had the car a couple of months now after debating between a cupra, VXR and GTI.
List of its gadgets below (some may be standard)
- bluetooth
- 18" monza shadows
- winter pack, heated seats, jet washers
- sunroof
- cruise control
- vienna leather
- adapative chassis control
- parking sensors
- button that parks the car in a gap (dont no exact term)
- mirror pack
- upgraded sound system
- DAB
- screen in dash, (forgot exact term) doesn't have sat nav though
I have wanted to change and mod it to make it look different and personal to myself. Performance wise I am just starting to look at now with my age, insurance is going to rocket!
Current changes (nothing major)
- changed foot well and boot light to leds
- little German euro badge on rear bumper
- few little stickers ( more on order now )
- door sills carbon fibre vinyl
- upgraded front main beam lights to osram
- changed number plate to pressed metal plates with wolfsburg surround
- gti badge inserts on seats

yeah that's what I have been thinking too! dunno what it would look like. The only wrap I would have on is carbon fibre style but dunno if it would spoil it. As for painting the diffuser I have heard stories that it chips off and peels off painting aposed to wrap. Unless a good primer is used before possibly?

I looked into the diffuser painting a while back and had some useful advice from forum member cosmicremedy who worked for a company specialising in painting exterior automotive plastics. Advice below:
"should just need an adhesion promoter or special primer as the diffuser is likely to be polyprop or PP. This usually needs flaming (in the industry) or an adhesion promoter will make the paint stick.... Without these on polyprop there's a risk the paint will flake off, especially when put under the pressure of a jet washer."
:nerd:

yeah thought i had read about peeling thanks for that booth! some look really smart when there done in a gloss black or carbon fibre, but I couldnt "DIY it" and would get charged a arm and a leg for a company doing it. time to save £

yerh folding mirrors are handy but i wish they had the option of when locking it from a distance they would close.. would look like a d*ckhead but would be fun  thought i broke mine yesterday. smashed it straight off another car mirror in the street  made a massive clonk noise when i went to turn it out again
