Title: Fob issues!! SOLVED!!!
Post by: Perryd84 on 04 June 2014, 14:20
Got a slight problem!

Changed the battery in my key and now it won't unlock my car?

Havent got any key locks on the doors so can't get in and havent got a spare?!

Batteries are brand new.

Is there a time limit on changing the batteries over? Is there anything I can do other than call the recovery van to take me to a vw dealer?

You don't have any locks on your car though?? Not even in the boot??
Phone the AA to open the car for you rather than have it towed.

Seriously guys need help here!?

I can open the boot but the alarm goes off. Climbing through the car to open the doors doesn't work the central lock buttons on the driver door do nothing and manually pulling the door handle does nothing it just re locks itself.

HELP!!!

your doors are safelocked so you cant open them from the inside. when you crawled through the boot did you turn the ignition on before trying the doors? that will usually disable the alarm and undo the safelocks.

Didn't try that. I'll give that a go tomorrow and see how I get on.
