How much weed did you smome yesterday?
more info will help.
-
I didnt 'smome' any weed sunshine,
Basically when i turn it it cracks, just as simple as that, when im driving the steering is effected but it still cracks, could it be a bearing? when it crack its vibrates on the steering wheel too..
-
Could be a bearing in the column or maybe more serious in that the mounting or bulkhead has cracked.

hahaha smome. I hate touch screens.
get the steering rack checked as mine make a creaking noise when im rolling 1-3mph and i turn the steering.
sounds like a bearing but it could also be the top mounts.
-
That is top mounts.
-
Well lads ill let you know, im getting the mounts changed as i am dropping coilovers on it this weekend.
Fingers crossed its the mounts!
-
as above, either top mounts or CV joint - the two noises are quite different but both could be described as 'cracks'
-
Make sure you get new bearings too. Think I got lemforder mounts a febi bearings.
-
Well lads its not the top mounts as changed them on the weekend when i fitted my coilovers,
(which i fitted to low and hit a bump and took my plastic rear arch off haha.. All fun and games!)
Ill have a look at the cv joint
-
Did you put new bearings in and copper slip?
-
Yes mate

Yes mate
Sorry that didn't solve your problem but 9 times out of 10 its the top mounts and bearings. Hope you fix it soon.
-
Get your steering rack checked.
-
would a steering rack be hard to rebuild? just wondering
-
Yes very.
