Car was in garage last week and they had a recall too for the 45D4 bug fix and since getting the car back I get random issues where my SD card is not automatically detected upon engine start, pressing media button then switches to the SD fine, stop and start the engine and its fine again for a while. Also the park assist alarm comes on at times when navigating the menus, again this is random and I have to disable the park assist for it to stop, car is not close to any object either.
Anyone else have this update and noticed anything unusual afterwards?

The SD card auto detect glitch was present pre update (this isn't a recall) so I don't think it's been caused by it.
-
Ah OK didn't know that McDaddy, never had the SD detect issue before, just coincidence then but on the same day the parking assist alarm comes on when browsing the car menus :undecided:
-
I get the false parking sensor sound too but things like leaves or bits of paper or even worse massive bees set it off.
-
Didn't know anything about this until my GTD went for the first service, what does the update do? The garage just said it was something to do with the engine ECU, but couldn't tell me anything else....
-
When was this update issued?
-
Had this done today. No issues as yet
-
It's for the abs ECU apparently amongst other things.
-
Since I started this post I've had no repeat issues and so seems to be pure coincidence what I experienced, probably a bit too hasty posting TBH. My driving experience otherwise hasn't changed since the update such as my only issue with the throttle response in Sport mode from engine start

Mine has been in today only to find two hours later that the window opened an inch (when engine was started) and will not shut or open. Also drivers door will not lock, nsr window in op, electric mirror with repeater not working. Non of the 4 window switches work but the o/s windows both work ???
Could just be an ironic coincidence
-
That would be one hell of a coincidence Chris! Hope you took her back in

Got this update yesterday after my service. It was a handbrake update apparently. I am trying out the auto handbrake to see if it's any better. (I stopped using it after a few weeks due to it not letting go at lights).

Had the update done back in September on my GTD, and (touch wood), no issues at all - not that I had any before it went in though - my auto handbrake had always worked flawlessly.
Also, not experienced any fuel consumption issues that a few members reported after the update.
