Wonder if any styling cues will make it into a production GTI (ED40?)
VW's annual GTI special edition at the Worthersee show this year

I really like that although the stripe down the bonnet and roof isn't for me.
-
Nice!
Really liking the gloss black plastics on the front bumper.
-
That should have been the front end of the R IMO.
-
They'd never sell any GTIs if the R looked that good from the front!
(Stripes excepted)
-
That looks nice not to keen on the stripes mind
-
Stuff from the Wörthersee never makes it to production model... that's a VW rule

Some of the styling cues make production models though.
The mk5 GTI W12 had loads of hints of mk6 about it.

That black front splitter does look the business.

Loving the Widescreen TV, Subs and Amp taking up the boot, wonder if these will make production
Seriously though the front splitter looks good to me as well. I am also not keen on the stripes and decals. Also the overkill of red all over the cabin is a little overwhelming. A good car but not the classiest Worthersee concept produced by VW.

Maybe they don't want their new cash-cow 400R being upstaged by a humble GTI!!!
I think a bit like the Street or whatever it was called a couple of years ago, it's just one to keep the YTS scheme design engineers occupied.

Those brakes and the Recaro seats are absolutely wicked.
