Title: Broken Key - big thanks to Mattyj
Post by: Buck on 30 May 2014, 22:26
I dropped my key on the floor tonight and the metal surround holding the blade snapped

The blade is fine and so is the remote itself. I guess I won't be able to just metal part?

We don't know the age of this motor as 2009+ only a dealer can program a key.

Hi

It's a late 2009 GTD

Parts department say its a whole new key at £127.26 !!

I think an eBay and try and get a donor part is the only way

I know that site I'm a mod on there that's only for mk5, mk6 is different as I've said.

Just get second hand key off ebay and swap the mechanical bits to your existing key and fit your blade....
then no need to recode.

Hi Matt

That'd be great. It's worth a shot to see if I can repair it.
