Title: Advice on coilovers!
Post by: Lgjennings on 29 May 2014, 23:23
Hi I've got a mk4 golf 1.4 and wanted to chuck some coilovers on it.
Got about a budget of upto £200 tops and just want to know what the best ones for my money would be and what's brands to stay away from.
Thanks Liam

Most put on Jom or FK coilovers, I got jom myself and really like them there not that stiff but give a nice ride and corner fairly flat for everyday driving

At £200 there is no such thing as best coils you will simply get cheap lows... And Chris the only reason it feels like a normal ride is you drive a 1.4    However many folk run the joms and fk's Wirh no issues other than a lot stiffer than standard etc I have the silver lines on mine from fk but they were 550 odds and no complaints...

Try the search bar literally 100s of threads on this

All cheap coilovers are the same. For a half decent set you're looking at £400+.
