I've been looking around online, and have found loads of maf sensors, but all of them have different part numbers... Which one do i need / best place to buy / stick to bosch maf's?
I have a
2000 Mk4 golf
1.8t agu

Whichever one the main dealers sell, all others aren't worth buying.
-
Even euro car parts have multiple maf sensors, most of them with price variations too
-
The ones from euro car parts are refurbed genuine ones as in the Bosch ones some people have had issues other no problems at all
-
Oh okay thanks
-
I ran a Bosch refurb in mine all ok and much cheaper than genuine, just avoid the ebay crap.
-
Yeah, I bought a n75 valve from eBay, with the impression that it was new, turns out it was a really an old valve in a brand new box haha, never again.

The Bosch ones are genuine there exactly the same.... The one I got had the same markings as my original
-
I got my last few from GSF, after getting one from the dealers and it being faulty I had a massive argument with the dealers because they said in order to test the MAF you need to take your car to them for them to test if the MAF is faulty, what it DOESNT say is if you are running a modified engine in anyway it voids the warranty, as the warranty is the ONLY reason for buying one from the dealers, if your modified just get one from GSF or ECP simples

i'm going to buy through ECP as GSF is a fair bit more expensive, cheers for the help

Sorry worded it wrong, by genuine I was referring to dealers

Oh okay, cheers, anyone got any input on the cheap equivalents? Because ecp sell one for 30 - 50 pounds, when the cheapest bosch is 70 (If you return your old one) and 90ish without returning your old one.
-
A lot of people have problems with the non genuine MAFs, they usually fail within a few months

I bought a bosch maf earlier at a cost of £82  from ecp earlier
Hopefully this should sort out my final fault with the car
