Title: Spark plug code help!
Post by: Godzilla on 27 May 2014, 22:26
Trying to remember the best plugs for a 1.8 Turbo, not been mapped so a standard 150BHP. I am sure the plugs recommended on here for the 1.8 20vt's are NGK.....Code is something like BGR6KE?  I have Bosch Super 4's in her at the mo' but read they are not meant to be any good for these engines?  Any thoughts and help with the code?

Thanks

I use NGK PFR6Q's which have been spot on in my mapped 1.8T

Not sure what the equivalent is for standard

I ran super's for about 6 months. Never had any miss fire issues and did go fine.

However, when I switched to NGK 7's...the power seems to be delivered better.

the P stands for platinum. Will last a lot longer but platinum doesn't conduct as well as copper. But you can affrod to change them twice a year at £5 a set lol
