Nice car a shame about the wheels

I'm winding looks the nuts. Silver would probably be my preference over gold...

My guess is Dubai? The Mall, no offence can see that when it's 10 years older in north London but please not now! Then I'm old and live in the leafy countryside. My Williams 1 had standard gold wheels in 1994. Not sure a lovely R needs to follow the Subaru route. But hey by all accounts and contrary to some opinion (as my local salesman) says the R is a bit special compared to the GTI.

Must admit i'd prefer the wheels silver but if we all had the same it'd be a boring world! Congrats! :afro:

Even the Austins are a bit much for me, but each to their own.

My guess is Dubai? The Mall,

South Africa I think.

Not sure on the gold wheels, i'd need to see more pics, but if you are in SA with that colour combo you're sure to stand out from the 56,000,000 GTIs that will be on the road.

I quite like the Subaru style blue/gold combo.  I reckon you should think about changing the mirrors though to either be bodywork colour or gold.  Like wise for all of the other details.

What wheels are they out of interest?

Agree, I really like these wheels, but I would bring in the mirrors and front lip with the bodywork as suggested.  Or maybe body coloured mirrors and gold lip or vice versa.  If all details were gold it would be too much.

Nice car, those wheels are horrible though and ruin it.  But as long as you like it then that's all that matters.

I like it. Having spent a large amount of time in South Africa, I can fully understand it will look well in the sunshine and go well. Too many GTi's there and it will definitely stand out. :)

Mirrors need body colouring though I think.

Love the car and Lapiz Blue is phenomenal but hate the gold rims I'm afraid. Too bling for me (but everyone is different).
