Title: Mk6 Bluetooth
Post by: martinc1967 on 27 May 2014, 13:04
Hi Chaps,

My name is Martin and I'm a new member on here. As TT forum member since 2006, I now am the very pleased new owner of a Mk6 Golf GTI.

Haven't actually picked her up yet so no pics at the mo...but there will be!

Any way, my question...

My GTI is very well specced other than Bluetooth. However the switch is there on the console for it. I was wondering if all the wiring is pre installed and there for the bloothtooth (like they are for lots of marques?). Is it an easy retro fit?

It's also missing cruise control. Like the TT's is this an easy retro fit.

Any info and approx. prices  would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Martin

Bluetooth is an easy enough retro fit. The wiring isn't there, but plenty of people on ebay will supply you with a module, mic and a plug in wiring harness for around £200. It will just need coding with VCDS then.

There is a very good fitting guide in the maintenance section of the Mk6 part of this forum. You may find something about cruise control in there too, but I'm not sure without looking.
