My mk3 abf does not come with a/c, can anybody tell me if my alternator belt also drives my water pump?

Not having seen a non air-con model I don't know for sure but it is definitely belt driven

yes the aux belt drives the waterpump. if your replacing the waterpump, don't use euro's. ive had 4 fail from them in less than a year!
