evening all ive realighned my throttle body after cleaning it with vag com and been on a run round trip of approx. 176 miles ave 30/35 mpg doing 70 (ish) mph is that reasonable mpg 1.8 aum turbo thx
-
That sounds ok, it depends how you drive to be honest. I went for a blast with a couple of mates yesterday and averaged 19mpg over 40 miles, I travelled the same distance on the motorway earlier and averaged 36.
-
thx yeah I was putting my foot down a bit trying to see if it would go under 30mpg and I couldn't so I guess ive realighned it right cheers
-
As dom says  my standard Agu averages anywhere from below 30 mpg to 35-38 mpg dependant on how i drive it  tbh i found with my old Aum after a stage 2 map etc that i got more mpg than standard so there's no excuse not to map a 1.8t  :lipsrsealed: (mine will be getting the r-tech treatment eventually)

My AUM is averaging 36.8 but that is a lot of motorway miles at 70 or so. It would probably be 35 or less if I was more local.
The first culprit for poor economy is the temp sensor. About £10 to fix and you would get that back in no time if it is faulty.

forgot to add that was with a full load = me wife 3 kids noisey on way there 3 of them asleep on way back lol
-
I average around 36 give or take a couple. I've had a return on 42.5 on B roads. ;)
-
I get 36.5 average.

40+ @ 80mph
I know folks put tesco 99 in, but I think it gives poor mpg compared to vpower.
-
I was playing with my instant consumption on the motorway last night. Cruising at 70mph in 5th on a flat stretch returned 34mpg, 80mph saw 32mpg.
-
I get an average of 33 to 36 mpg on a 250 mile trip from Manchester to Essex going at about 70 ish give or take ten
That's on tescos momentum 99

not that much difference between them all then thx everyone
