Title: Short shift option for AGU
Post by: paultownsend on 26 May 2014, 12:35
Gents. What are the Short shift options for AGU?

I believe it uses the same tower and shifter cable ends as a mk3? And can't use the usual TT shifter?

Any ideas?

the Agu uses the same gearbox as its aum twin so has cable operated mechanism with plastic clips etc a tt short shift can be used

The early ones have the same mech as the Mk3 but later have the same as the rest of the Mk4 range (which my '99 AGU has. I've used an ebay kit which is a direct copy of the B&M kit as works very well and only costs just over £30

I use dieselgeek's sigma 5 short shifter, it does away with the cable ends and clamps onto the threaded end of the cable, so it might work with yours too.

Gosh that sigma 5 is expensive!

Wazzer, is yours the one that replaces the whole gear stick?
