Looking at another vr tomo to replace my broken auto. This time a manual :D
It has the climatronic which I also have however the guy selling has said that the previous owner has removed the aircon? Is it a big job to add it back in considering I have all the parts in mine?
Thanks :)

Easy enough to swap the parts over but you will need a specialist to degas and regas as required.
The fact it has been removed is a big worry, if it has failed in a big way you maybe looking at a lot of work to get it working.

Made me think aswell. Seems weird to remove something like that unless he's removed it to save weight/ save mpg??

I'd say its been front ended at some point and fixed on the cheap, most AC gets removed on old cars for this reason.
Hopefully all the stuff under the dash is intact and all you need is the engine bay stuff which is easy to sort out.
I still cant my air recirc to work properly

Apparently previous owner had wanted to track it hence no air con and very little interior. But guy has added leather interior but never bothered with the air con
But it's had 9 previous owners which I'm a little worried about and MOT runs out end of month
Got a couple more to see anyway so no rush :)

If he removed this under the dash.... don't think so. I think it's just in the engine bay. So it wouldn't be a problem to restore

If the pipes have been left open and uncapped, not much chance you would get it working to be honest.

Just thought i'd if there are any A/C parts you require i have most of the system sitting in my shed waiting to be shifted for cheap.
