Title: Car Wrapping,
Post by: JoseMcGeevio on 25 May 2014, 21:34
Alright folks,

Just your opinions really and advice,

Im looking to wrap my mk3 Anni in carbon fibre white as i have had to fill in and weld a few rust holes and fancy a change.

I will be doing it myself, is it easy?

Any tips?

If you haven't done it before I would suggest getting a professional to do it.

Part of the art in wrapping a car is letting the scrapel guide over the material without leaving marks on the paint when cutting. Bound to be a few vids on YouTube.

HAHA !!  I love this answer! I follow this, have ago yourself pal get on YouTube have a look on there and do some research and start the fun, best to have a mate or 2 with you.

Watch "mightycarmods" on YouTube there a couple of Australian guys who do a lot of D.I.Y and there funny too!

I had scabs on the boot of my car from the "golf" & "GTI" badge and a really anoying dent I was quoted £180 which I accepted so I thought ahh I'll give it ago, I couldn't make it worse and as it happens I'm amazed how good it really looks.

I apologise about the essay, (longer than any I did at school)  haa but my advice , give it ago :D

Try it on an easy ish panel and see how you get on, if you f**k it up pay someone else lol

My mate just had his a3 wrapped for £1400,  looks amazing so I'd expect a similar price tag for a pro wrap
