Right just greased up the threads with anti-seize because im fitting them tomorrow getting everything prepared tonight
So ive wound the coilover all the way down, assembled jom top hat, oem bearing and the inner strut nut you cant tighten it down any further and theres a massive gap between the jom top hat and the oem bearing ?

there is mention of a aluminum spacer but as said when tightening this can crack the bearing
What shall i do about that gap

Remove the spacer or you will crack the bearing bud. It actually mentions that in the guide lol

Yeah my point is how are u meant to tighten that nut down when theres no friction and if ur running ur coilovers fully lowered to the bottom isnt that gap gonna make a knocking sound

Ahhh right I miss read it sorry when I done mine it closed the gap with it removed and dont forget you haven't got the top mount on there yet ! Plus the weight of the car ect you would be brave to run it that low anyway lol

Nah yeah i just wondered but i know i gotta wind it up at least 20 threads the top mount just sits over the top right ?

dunno whether i got the wrong ones, but the top mount rubber hasnt got anything for it to be held down literally just fits over the nut and fits snug on the bearing, doesnt matter whether i tighten it with it on or without, bought them from ebay ill put a picture up but might be hard to see
It is just the same as that, but that rubber dont get screwed down cant just be me, only difference is my strut nut is chunky and i see now some are using a slim one?

anyone else got a second opinion do u need to use a slim strut nut or can i use the one supplied with the jom coilovers

Use the existing nut off the car the one that your using is the very top nut once its on the car
