Title: Mk3 8v mfa not working ????? Help

I have recently become the owner of a golf gti ........ Don't really know much about MFA help with this would be good as mine doesn't work only thing that doesn't work in fact ......... What dose it do and where would be the best place to start looking to find the fault any help would be greatly received

If your lucky it's just the stalk.
Mine is broken, can't be bothered as it's just a gimmick really but some like everything to be in working order.
Last one I fixed needed a stalk and lots of soldering so be prepared.

Is it completely blank or are numbers slightly visible? Mine are slightly visible and once disassembled i found a slight burnt out soldered section so not a simple case of replacing the lcd display. I could of swapped for replacement clocks but didnt fancy losing my 55k mileage or paying to reset a new set of clocks as just wasnt worth it.

Haha I read maf and got confused  :grin: was gonna say unplug it and get a new one
