Title: Clutch Question
Post by: markallen on 17 May 2014, 23:19
Okay so my question is...as I drive and change gear the revs go slightly up before dropping back down. So say I am at 2000rpm in second gear, lift off the accelerator and press the clutch pedal it will increase to say 2200rpm give or take. Is the cause of this the release bearing? It's not slipping as it will increase up to 5000rpm and the speed will increase. It is not suddenly revving stupidly high without increase in the speed. I hope I have explained this well enough for someone to have an idea? Oh and I have bought the VR6 G60 fly and clutch kit just to be safe ;) ha ha

symptoms will be clutch slip and it will get worse eventually good job you have a G60/Vr6 combo  worthwhile upgrade over the dual mass set up

Yep, tuning will start again once the clutch is in, FMIC next then ready for remapping!
