Title: Build week confirmed - can't make any changes

BW23 was confirmed on 12/5/14 for the below but would now just like to add reversing camera but been told today by dealer that once build week is confirmed that the order is locked and can't be amended.  :huh:

Thought there was a little more flexibility in the system than this - anyone able to confirm/refute if this is the case?

Yeah that is correct. Its been discussed quite a lot on the MK7 board.
Once your order has a confirmed build week, its basically locked as all the correct parts are then either at the factory or will be, in plenty of time for the car being built.
If you want to add anything at this point they would have to take the car out of its production schedule. Which means it would be a brand new order and possibly a new price if you ordered before the prices went up.

Considering you only ordered on 21 April that went to confirmed very quickly - mine took over thee months!
